SEO Web Design – Does Website Design Make A Difference With SEO?

Search engine optimization has become very popular again. It seemed to be the next big thing a few years ago, but most website owners were discouraged by the results and began buying traffic instead. The term for this practice is actually called ‘SEM’ or ‘Search Engine Marketing’, and it often gets confused with ‘SEO’ or ‘Search Engine Optimization’. The reason is that for many years SEO companies pushed clients into signing PPC contracts or pay-per-click links to generate traffic from search engines, and boasted this as their SEO strategy. Although it does produce results, it comes at a large cost, and tracking is often highly unreliable. This means that you are paying for clicks with no guarantee that they will generate any business- your account is still charged, regardless. Read more

Orange County Website Design

Designing a website can be a very simple task, or it can be a very difficult task. The way to determine the process depends on the needs of the website owner and what goals they have for it. The reason a website difficulty depends on the needs of the client is because they will ultimately be the one who manages it and analyzes whether or not the site is performing to their expectations. This can sound simple enough but often a new website owner doesn’t know what they will need or want, so trying to calculate the future needs of the owner without them knowing what they are is quite a challenge. Skype Extras Not Working, Update Skype Manager

The past few days I’ve been having problems with my Skype Extras and the Skype Manager. I noticed it a few days ago when I signed in and couldn’t get my Skype Extras to work. The Skype Manager did open up, as I’ve read that others are having problems with the actual manager not working at all, and it seems that Skype is aware of this issue and has a couple of post about how to fix it in their Skype Forum. However, my problem was a little different in the sense that I could get the Skype Manager to open, but the only tools in there were the games section. I couldn’t get any of the other features to work, and the ones that I had already installed were not showing up at all. Read more

Belkin Skype Wifi Phone Dropping Calls – Troubleshooting

In my quest to transition from a standard land-line to a completely digital phone experience I purchased one of the new Belkin Skype Wifi Phones. In my previous post about the pros and cons of the Belkin phone (read here), I mentioned the issued about the phone dropping calls right in the middle of conversation and said that it was similar to a drop call with a cell phone. I thought it was because of the Wifi connection and how it interacts with the phone but I’ve still not had much success at getting it to a more consistent standard. Myself and a friend of mine, who also has this same unit as his primary phone of communication, feels that the inconsistent manner by which the phone operates does create some concern about the using the device as a full time alternative to land-lines. In my hope to make the device more efficient I learned several useful tools for maintaining the device in case something goes wrong or make the signal stronger.

What happened to good two player RPG games?

images2 What happened to good two player RPG games?I love good RPG games with lots of good action and lots of thinking involved. Although it’s not very hard to find, and yes there are many good selections on the market, I want to play with another player and there are hardly no good two player RPG games. I’ve been looking for awhile and yes I do own a couple of them and will mention my favorites below. However, it would be good to find other good games for the Playstation format that will allow two players to interact in the world and make it so that each player has decisions to make. I’ve found a couple of really good ones over the years and they were fun to play and yes I do keep them around for others to play occasionally, but if there are any other good games out there for other I would love to heard about them.

My top 4 favorite two player games for the Playstation 2 format. Read more

Opening the door…

Not sure what I’ll find as I embark on this journey into cyberspace. This will be my first blog post ever, and the first of the general blog for Platinum Graphics. A little about me and PGI may be a good place to start. I’m a web veteran, and by that I mean that I’ve been through every craze, faze, blip, bleep, variation that you can imagine. I first started on the Internet in the late 80′s, and yes the world wide web as we know it today was not around yet. A buddy of mine and I used to play games on the Internet, similiar to the movie War Games with Matthew Broderick. It wasn’t until the earlier 90′s that the www platform was invented and we began to see visual graphics for the first time. Read more
